Thumbs up Survivalist in me

My wife has always thought I'm a bit of a nut with being "prepared"..But I won't be so Nuts if we have to dig into the basement stash of stuff we have set aside for the worst case scenario..Like an earthquake on the scale of the recent on in Japan.
In any Case I just ordered a few more days worth of water and food from this awesome store:

The Ready Store - Emergency Preparedness, Food Storage, MRE's, and Freeze Dried Food!

My goal has always been to be able to totally self support for 2 wks..Water food, fuel, power ect..
That's enough time to develop and implement a strategy for long term if it came down to that.

speaking of japan might want to pick up a few potassium iodide pills also, if you can still get them. They say there is nothing to worry about but why would they tell us if there was? It would cause pandemonium! I was thinking about this the other day when someone said the wind from japan would not hit oregon. About 50 miles from Lakeview was the only civillian deaths on the US mainland in WW2. From a balloon bomb that took 3 days to get here! Mitchell Recreation Area - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia One more thing, kinda odd that a year ago or so in chile big ass earthquake, few months ago in new zealand big ass earthquake, few days ago in Japan monster earthquake! In my opinion the west coast better look at what they need to do to be prepared. The plates got to give somewhere. For a good disaster prep site with a little humor thrown in check out ZombieSquad

I've been wondering if the spate of earthquakes has anything to do with the moon being so close to the earth.
