Great Read

For anyone that likes a Good Western Novel! This is a Killer!
Cormac McCarthy's
"Blood Meridian"
I am not a Big Prose Reader,,,But this guy Yarns a good Tale,
Comparable to Truman Capote in my opinion.

Amazon.com: Blood Meridian: Or the Evening Redness in the West (9780679728757): Cormac McCarthy: Books

McCarthy is probably my favorite author. Blood Meridian is a tough read imo but indeed an epic story and book.

Ryan.
I too was Appalled,,,But I think McCarthy really Captured the Brutality and Harshness of the time.
It is Def. A book that I could revisit from time to time and still be surprised by the contents//////c

Let me clarify my opinion. The content of the book is definitely not for the weak of heart but imo is probably pretty accurate to that time and age. McCarthy's writing style is what I found to be difficult. The second time I read it I knew it was a masterpiece. The judge and the kid stand out as two of the best characters in american lit. imo. McCarthy makes you think about who the " savages " really were.
