Very very sorry to hear of your loss. I have a hard time hearing it because it brings back memories of having to put my pitbull down because she snapped and tried to kill our other dogs. It was hard because we rescued her and put so much into her. But she was never quite right. Anyway, it's a sad day for me to even have read this. No more chains guys, our pets aren't worth what can happen to them.

Good idea to give a dog a chance a life in memory of Tuxedo.

Sorry for your loss Redhawk! I hate that dogs must be tied in the city, our town its all dogs...doesn't matter if its a Pit Bull or a Poodle. I live in the country so I don't have to worry about that. Here is a good thing to do if you have to chain your dog so it will not get tangled. Take a cable attach it at each end to a tree or anything high enough for you to reach it and make sure the area is free of anything the dog can go around, have a stopper to prevent the dog from having enough chain to wrap around the tree or whatever you hook the cable to.. Hook your dogs chain to the cable, then it can run up and down freely. Make sure the dog can get in his house, and have shade! Joyce

Sorry to hear about that. He Lived a while, just didnt know better about chain/collar. Knew a girl and she had a hyper dog that would jump too much while in chainlink kennel and one day it didnt fall back down. Seen a guy go in the store while back and he had a small dog on a leash tied to his interior door handle and dog jumped out and had a hard time trying to stand and before I could help a fellow ran and helped the dog and hollered in the store (small) at the guy. Cant "replace" him but you could get another.

As soon as I get my Back yard finished (I have to grade it and lay foundations for the hot tub and dog kennels) Untill then I have to wait because I dont want to risk putting another dog on a chain. Guess I better get to work.
