RIP! Tuxedo!

So this morning my gf got up and untangled the chain that our pitty was on outside. Less than a few hours later she went to check on him again and he had twisted his chain all the way to the ground and was gone. We are soo sorry Tuxedo. We tried our best to give you the forever home that you deserved and we failed. You will be missed! I guess its time to float the bill for the 3000 dollars worth of kennels and make sure this doesnt happen again. We got tuxedo 6 years ago when my cousins dog had puppies . He barely survived being born since his mother tried to kill him several times.( she would drop him off on the other end of the house and leave him and refused to feed him) My cousin said he was just going to let it die (after I already picked him out) and I almost kicked his ass so we took him without owners consent. we took him in and bottle fed and raised him. He DID live 6 years more than he would have. But it is a terrible shame that he had to go this way! Our lovely city told me that If I didnt chain my dogs or kennel them that they would take them from me. Hence the chains (which I hate to begin with)

Gotta be careful with the pets in this heat! It doesn't take long for them to get heat exhaustion. Very sorry for your loss.

It wasnt that

It wasnt the heat, We spray them and the yard down with water twice a day. And they are used to the heat. He twisted his chain up untill it strangled him. We didnt hear anything because he couldnt bark. We keep pretty close eye on the family! Like I said she had just untangled him a couple hours before.

I hate this city

This stupid town makes me keep my dogs on chains when they are outside because its a pitbull. Look at the pictures! Does that look like a mean dog?

Everyone in this town freaks out if theres a loose pitbull. ITS BS! Pittys are some of the most loving breeds of dog! It all depends on how you raise them! ( Ban the Deed! NOT the Breed!! )

I am truly sorry to hear about your loss. I agree with you about Pits be great dogs when raised properly. There is a big stink going on here in MI about Pits. Someone introduced legislation to ban the breed statewide. Boneheads.

Awww man, I am very sorry RedHawk.

My pup is my son.

I spent 10 hours on foot tracking him years ago when he was 1 year old (wife took him out for a morning pee, she tripped, and the retractable leash snapped him in the bum... he bolted). Worst time of my life. I was lucky to have found him by higher powers that be. He was a bit scratched and scuffed but we are bound for life after that mishap.

Thank you

Thank You everyone for your support and kind words! I dont have kids, my pets are my children. 6 cats, 3 parrots, a snake, and Now 2 dogs. I guess It might be time to go rescue a pitty from somewhere. Since Tuxedo is gone im sure there is another dog out there in dire need of a new home. Believe that he will not have died in vain. He passed so that another dog could find its forever home, Im sure of it!!!!
