Please remember this family in your prayers

Wednesday evening, near Quinton, Oklahoma, a horsedrawn wagon going down the highway was hit by a semi truck. Four members of the same family were killed, two brothers, including the Quinton High School principal, and two little girls ages 4 and 5. Another teen was life flighted to Tulsa in critical condition.
I knew all these people and needless to say this whole tight knit community is in shock. So please just say little prayer for them and their family. Thanks JL

You got it, jlfrank....
I hate hearing about such young 'ens lives being taken at such young ages.
I have to wonder why a horse drawn buggy was going down the highway.
Doesn't sound like a responsible thing to do..AT ALL!!!
Sorry to hear about such a traumatic (freak accident(?) event..
God bless the family and hope the survivors of the family(and yourself) find the strength and support to carry on.(easier said than done)
Hopefully the teen in critical condition makes out ok....
Jason

These folks were local ranchers, did a lot of roping, cowboy stuff. They always had the wagon in all the Christmas and fall festival parades, just little town stuff. I really can't imagine what they were thinking being on the hiway, I guess they did it all the time and never thought anything about it. They were only 100 yds from their drive when they were killed. Anyway thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers for the family and enjoy every day. JL

Sorry for your losses Quinton's not to far from where I'm from

Up around home in SE Oklahoma we have thing called trail rides you might start out at a friend's house and ride 10 to 20 miles cutting up and having fun and on occasions we would cross the highway .

Yes ----very sad and a horrible thing for the family to suffer thru and the Quinton community---( Panola is just south by 30 miles or so , across the San Bois mountians )----However it is not safe on any hiway with a horsedrawn wagon , hoss , or slow-moving vehicle . Semi's and wagons do not peacefully co-exist .
