We have a new sheriff and there being issued it takes at least 90 days or more.

Just renewed mine by mail ($20/yr). Background check is all it takes here. No felonies and $20 and you're good to go!

I was just reading the app. and noticed the info. that's needed for each weapon. Since my 1888 .45 doesn't have a safety selector (now why in the heck would you want one of those!) that may be a problem, so I might have to go out and get something newer.....But we'll see.

Thought about it. That or a Glock. Neighbor has both so I'll compare. Not over fond of square guns but we'll see. Thanks.

I am also surprised that CA has the option at all. IL is the only state? NY has CC? That's surprising as well.

Pretty simple in KY. Take an 8 hour class, hit some paper and pay a small amount. I have had plans to do it but yet to get around to it. I have mixed feelings about carrying while my kids are young.(11,8,5) Just something about handguns and kids.

Just do it responsibly, my kids think nothing when they see a pistol on my side because they're used to it.....they don't even mention it. The only option though is it's either in a holster on my side or locked up.....no in between, goes directly from holster to safe.
