Wal Mart

Man how I hate that place and I do my best to never set foot in one but today my wife made me go.
I was in bad need of something to drink so I put my two dollars in the machine out front to get a 20 oz, Diet Mountain Dew. Well it gave me 0.75 change but no Dew so I asked three different people and they either just walked off or told me I had to go to customer service. That line was about 15 people deep and there was no way I was going to stand in line for a buck 25.
I just went to the drink box by the register, got me a 20 oz. Diet Mountain Dew and just walked around the store drinking it till I was done with it. When I got ready to get rid of the bottle I just acted like I needed help and the employee's all disappeared. Think that might be my new routine.
Sorry for the rant but don't have any new finds to post, gotta post something.

Its crazy at wal mart when it rains, People act like its acid rain and they are invincible to automobiles. They either gather around entrance waiting for a vehicle to come to them or run around oblivious to moving cars

Did I mention that I couldn't find anyone that spoke English?
Come on this is Austin Texas not Mexico or the Middle East.

Got a good chuckle out of your story Bobby.

I dread a trip to Walmart with a passion!
I avoid it like the plague, but their usually unbeatable prices have me
going back when needs and wants arise....

I try to escape the stress of the place by going in the wee hours of the night...

It never fails the aisles I need to get to are closed off for restocking purposes, and every other aisle has pallets of goods that I can't squeeze my cart through...

And then you got the worlds most annoying slow poke floor cleaners that seem to always be cleaning the aisle I'm in.

...And then I have to pee like a race-horse, and the bathrooms a mile away

I miss the old rural style Walmarts where you knew where everything was.

LMAO too true, so wierd! I was at wal mart the other day in great weather and while trying to get a parking spot, the lady in front of me stopped right in front of the door so some lazy a** could load theyre cart into the car. there were cars coming the opposite direction and a car behind me so I was stuck while they were loading a cartfull into the trunk, they didnt even have the sense to pull up 15 more feet and over a bit. I laid on the horn for almost a minute straight right in they're ears and they acted like they couldnt hear it and wouldnt look at me LOL. it only took about 10 seconds on the horn to cheer me up because of all the attention it created and made them look like idiots.

I always try to use the door over by automotive and check out in sporting goods or automotive.

If it wasn't for Walmart we wouldn't have those funny emails about people of Walmart! I'm sure somebody has some good examples to share. The town to the north of me, Springfield, has several stores. One on the north side in particular is where I think most of those funny pics come from. Also, Child services could do us more good if they'd set up a department in that store. Always seems to be some sort of child abuse going on there.

I like it

I like walmart like a fat kid loves cake! Im sure its not very good for our economy but damn the prices are soo good I cant stay away. I spend 1/2 as much shopping for groceries at walmart than the local grocery store.

Vending machines are prolly operated major a distributor like Coke and Pepsi. Diet Dew would be a Pepsi product. And prolly Walmart gets some sort of fee from the distributor for machine location. So possibly a Walmart employee's would not of been of any help.

Last time I was looking for my favorite soda in cube case, "best price around" @ Walmart. I could not find it. The associate I asked, used her radio thingy and found out they did not have any in stock.

I have on multiple occasion's been to Walmart and asked for a specific item and given the wrong location info. That kind of sheep pizzis me off. Dippy employee's.

Walmart may have some wacked out employees and shoppers. But if you can get passed that, they do have some darn good prices on certain items. For some folks in this economy every cent counts on every day needs.

Also, why has soda prices gone through the roof over the last 2+ yrs?

My opinion, Our Prez was debating about adding a sugar tax to soft drinks. So a knee jerk reaction from the major suppliers they bumped their prices ,antictpating a cost increase they could fall back on.
