Bring it on Irene. I hope she dumps copius amounts of rain on my spots. Good news is it looks like it's weakened and won't hit as a 3 or 4. I think the media and alot of people have overreacted about this storm.

Good luck hunting bud, hope she washes out a few killers for you.

I am sure the hunting for you guys will be amazing over the next few weeks.

But don't completely underestimate this storm. Even Katrina was just a cat. 2.

You guys be safe and prepared!

I hope that wasn't your house oklasodak!.....scary video

This storm is very similar in size, strength and its track as was hurricane Gloria in 85, there was some pretty impressive damage with that one and I was without power for almost two weeks!.....The windows are either covered or taped, propane filled for the gas grill, ice in a large cooler and in freezer, batteries for flashlights and Coleman lantern filled with fuel and ready. Extra food and bottled water squirreled away, tubs filled with water. I figure if I don't have it, I don't need it....hahaha

My family will be going it alone, I have been ordered to work and the wife isn't happy....unfortunately the nature of my job it's a given.....sucks at times working emergency services.
Wish me luck, just hope to get my guys through it unharmed......I'm in charge of double the staff this weekend!
If I disappear for a while it's because I'm without power or internet or both!

Yeah, if you've been watching The Weather Channel, you'd swear that everyone in New England was in imminent danger of death from Irene.

Looks like the flooding will be the main issue but I'm starting to wonder if this thing was overhyped by the MSM to stimulate the economy, the shelves are empty and I've heard a case of bottled water is going for 40 bucks in some northeast areas. Over some wind and rain, gimme a break. With over 40 million people in the affected area scrambling to get supplies I'm sure the businesses are happy.

I could be wrong but it seems like the old " never let a good disaster go to waste " scenario is in play here.

I'm in the middle of it near Baltimore right now! This is literally a sprinkle with a little wind. When I say a little wind, I mean the trees are swaying but not making the usual noise associated with even a moderate storm.

Irene is a complete media-hyped joke. It seems that after hitting land in Carolina, it pooped out. Oh No! Everybody's so worried about NYC. Give me a break. Those people don't even know how to mow lawn up there. lol
