Finally a chance to go hunting

I havent been able to go point hunting for about 2 months now. I finally have all the cattle shipped off to the sale barn and actually have a Sunday of no work to do. We have had 4 days straight of 40 mph winds and to top it off some rain last night. I hope to come back with some pictures to share with you all.

We had a metal detecting archaeological survey scheduled during two of those
40 mph days and operating a detector in that kind of wind will flat wear you out, lol.

I hope those windy days will be of benefit to your hunting sandhills …good luck.

I got skunked as far as finding any points goes, found alot of flint chips and a scraper. I was bummed as the soil hadn't really changed as much as I figured it would have after all of that wind. The time I spent walking around and driving my 4 wheeler to different spots, I should have just loaded up my sifter and went to the spot where I dug up that AB (still havent been back there yet to try some more digging). O'well I guess there is always next time, I guess I did find the scraper to add to my scraper frame.
Happy Hunting all
