I'm rooting for the Cards but it would nice to see the Brewers get in if the Tigers get in. Just for the "somebody different" factor. I'm partial to the guys who haven't been there for awhile. I'm a Yankee's fan for the AL and a Cards fan for the NL but sometimes it's nice to see teams who don't have 100+ mil payrolls to get to the world series. It doesn't change the fact that the Yankee's had the best AL year and the Philly's had the best NL year. The playoff's are a crap shoot.

Carpenter can be had. Right now he's the least of our problems. Fielder and Weeks need to start hitting. And not hitting into double plays. Plus the Brewers are playing shoddy defense. Don't know how you'd motivate a team like that right now.
