Amazing images from a new telescope in Chile
If you like seeing pics of the universe you should check out these links. There is a new radio telescope in Chile named ALMA. It is just coming on line and the first pic they published is quite amazing revealing a great amount of depth and detail. The high resolution pic takes a bit to download, but you can explode it so it is quite large and still crisp.
The first link is the high resolution pic, the second is to a video showing the telescope, its site and installation and the third is to the ALMA home page. Enjoy! ![]() http://www.nrao.edu/pr/2011/almafirs...ZoomAllRGB.tif ALMA Opens Its Eyes Home |

Very cool links homestyle. It still amazes me that people can look at things like this and see just how vast the Universe is and still believe we are the only intelligent life that exists in it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have always been fascinated by the universe and have been amazed by the improving quality of the images over the two decades. It does tend to boggle the mind when you consider how expansive the universe truly is.
