Ebay shipping ?

So I won an auction off of ebay, however I still havent received the package and it has been over 2 weeks since the package was mailed. Im not going to give the sellers name, i was just curious as how to handle the situation. I have contacted the seller and in no way is it the sellers fault. It is purely on the postal service as it seems the item has been "lost". when I check the tracking # the package made it as far as Omaha and thats it, nothing after that. I was just curious if anyone else has dealt with sort of situation and how you dealt with it.

I can tell you that there's been a LOT of complaints about the USPS lately.
I had a small package mailed to me from less than 200 miles away, and it took about 2 weeks to get to me which is crazy. I thought the guy who shipped it was BSing me but the postmark was the on day he said he mailed it.

But lots of delays I'm hearing about, and some lost packages I'm hearing about too.

I'd go to the post office and ask them in person, I've had missing packages appear after a couple of days after doing that. Was it insured?

I've had two packages lost out of a couple thousand shipped over the last 4 years. I try to make it good with my customer whenever I can, either returning his money or sending another point.
