corporate theft

what would you do if a giant corporation tried to stick you with an early termination fee after you cancelled for non delivery,? and as the dispute was on going they fabricated a contract where they cut and pasted your name three times, then as a final slap in the face took the money in dispute out of your bank with out authorization, whats a poor guy to do? i cant afford to take a giant to court, and its killing me because Ive never just laid down and let no one take anything from me,any suggestions ?

I'm having the same problem, except I was able to cancel the fee from my credit card. I tried to be nice but the imbeciles, after 12 years a customer (and 17K), could not find a supervisor to make a decision or help me in any way. So, I simply became their competitors customer and told them so and why. Schmucks.

So now, the 260.00 has gone into collection and I really don't care. I won't answer their phone calls (collectors).

No solutions here but thanks for giving me an opportunity to vent.

Maybe go to small claims, the cost should be minimal. Seems rather odd that they could just take money out of your account. I'd be talkin' to the bank also. If you have the time go get 'um.

I'm of the same mind as Silver Lake. Talk to the bank, threaten bank fraud theft charges, take the corp to small claims and try to catch them on the cut/paste. Often just the court summons they get will be followed by a very nice call where everything suddenly gets worked out. They are counting on people to just lay there and take it.

thanks for the response guys, its just killing me that they can keep on file my credit card # and use it any time they want, the cut and paste is also really bothering me , from reading the contract they pasted it to, it would seem they did not need to even bother, my dealings with them were on the phone , and according to the contract that they cut and pasted to, the phone call was sufficient , that the signature wasnt needed, so why cut and paste one?seems kinda stupid on there part,

If they are accessing your account by CC# you are in good shape as those things are usually VERY easy to dispute and get resolved through the CC company. If it's transacted as a debit card it can be harder.
