Black walnut is very beautiful wood and makes great looking display cases. The only problem I have with it is that it makes me feel sick whenever working with it. Why did you have it sawn in such thick pieces?

Blk walnut is unhealthy to work with !! becarefull .. i had it cut mostly into slabs because i plan to use most of it for table tops & stair treads ,also you can always by 3/4" boards but try buying 1 5/8" or 2 1/8 " X 24" there big $$$$$
