If The link or pics look familiar its because I have posted them before. Was just thinking the link deserved a thread of its own and a new member here brewerMO is interested in The link I mentioned to him. I might get some better pics of Rhyolite soon to add because I found what I can only assume is a spent core of it just a few yards away from the Clovis base in a disced field lots of miles away from the source of the material so its likely from the same band of people that walked out there and being the only 2 rhyolite artifacts from the field. It is A VERY HARD MATERIAL!

hey fluff.. nice thread with an interesting link. here's some pics of some of the variations in color and quality. some of this material is easy to work and makes for some beautiful peices, and some of it is a nightmare to work with and makes for some downright gnarly and tough, thick, crude and ugly peices, lol(but still cool). I've noticed most of it is peppered with tiny white specks through-out... not real sure if the point on top row, far right is rhyolite, but the rest, for sure is. Most of these peices came from wayne county, missouri
