You can tell by the shoulders that it's a lion.

scotto

what do you think about the tight skin, the lack of loose belly skin common on big male cats, femal maybe? or to big for female?

There's nothing in the pic for scale, I can't tell how big those trees are. But the shoulders and ears just scream cat to me. A black and white night shot isn't going to give a lot of detail either.

Don't listen to 'em longtime! they are part of the conspricy! That there is proof of the infamous Cuppacabra or Goat Sucker (Bullkrapis Lodie)! Good idiea on bringing a buddy along, especialy if he be slow of wit and foot! what are the laws like in your state concerning personal deff. sidearm? if nothn' else be like ol' Teddy Rosavelt and walk softly and carry a BIG stick! make shure at least one end is pointy!

turtleman i cant wait to get more pictures of this beast, this pic is so diffrent then any other ive taken with the same camera , this cat chuppacabra what ever it is is large, can you see the dark eye next to the branch ? then you look at the jaw line and you get an idea of how big the head really is, and how about the tuft of hair on top of the head ? how come you can see that hair but not the hair on its body? on all the other cats i have pics of you can see the loose skin , no loose skin on this pic, i think its pregnant,
