The bass wouldn't let me hunt points.

Set out in The Bear Dick to hunt a new creek Saturday. The bass wouldn't leave my buzzbait alone. Probably the best topwater day I've ever had. Never changed lures all day!

The name of my kayak took on a whole new meaning when I squatted down quickly to pick up what looked like a point. My shorts ripped from the crotch all the way to the zipper leaving me Bare. Luckily...or unlucky for some, I never saw anybody all day.

Here is a large copperhead I spotted up the bank.

A 5lb'er and the other was the average of what I was catching.

nothin like the top water bite, you get double the adrenalin rush , that explosin out of nowhere that kick starts your heart into high gear then that pull of the fish as you bury the hook and feel how big he is, i love it, i live around some small resivoirs that have been planted with trout for the last twenty years, you may of heard of lake dickson( another trout planted lake) where a guy snagged a new world record and let it go, its not uncommon to catch bass over 10lbs in these lakes i caught 12 fish over 10lbs in one year once, my personal best is about 14lbs never weighed it just ate him lol my friends and brother couldnt believe it, most would of mounted it , to small to mount i told them, went out to water my pumpkins today and as i bent to turn on the water look who was lookin for some attention, pretty lil guy with three buttons, and looked like he had been eating good, i would post my finds but they were pathetic nice fish pls thanks for showing
