Great photos. I don't give the mountain lions much thought when I'm surface hunting but when I'm gold panning Its nice to have a partner to watch your back. A lady out jogging was killed up here a few years ago by a female lion teaching her young to hunt so its always on your mind especially early mornings and evenings.

That's cool. Laguna? I had a run in with an adolecent one at dusk kinda by where you live when I was a kid. I was scared because we couldn't scare it off!

That first picture certainly looks like a mtn lion to me.

I still remember the first time I saw a bear while flyfishing... I knew they were around, but once you see one where you are, it certainly changes the awareness level.

yep pretty sure the first pic is a lion, alittle big for a bob cat ,and really scary if it is a bob cat, for the last five years ive watched the population grow from only seeing tracks occasionally to being able to identify at least 5 individuals by site, and i know there are some i havent seen , i estimate at least twenty in a 50 mile range that i frequent,

dennis we had a lady jogger die here of lion predation also, good idea to have a plan if your stalked , most of the time its just instinct making them chase whats running, so stop (dosnt sound smart i know) and make noise act agressive and pray, but if your being stalked and you run you will be attacked
