Wow!! That's a big yote. We get a few black ones around here but they're not common.

Can't wait to start wacking them!!!

Kill em all lol

Well could have been a dog that chewed the head off of a kitten we have been feeding for a couple weeks now. It happened right outside back door just feet from its spot (old deep freeze it stayed warm in) it sleeps and I heard no barking and we have very alert (for labs) dogs that we bring in at night and one barks at an electric rc car when he hears it from inside when its outside (just for sound "referance" that do hear outside) so as I was walking dog this morning he sniffed something and I looked and it was the little fat kitten without a head I am a light sleeper and heard nothing. One chased one of our cats in broad daylight until it ran under a shed and my dad was outside yelling and clapping and it didnt even care. I am a softie when it comes to hunting and killing I admit but deadly shot due to my eyesight to be honest and would pick up coyote hunting and may do so. My neighbor would probably appreciate too as they shoot them on occasion. Well got to keep our cat up now unless we are outside and even then the little xxxxxx may try something.

As far as the black ones go my dad who sold furs of all kinds for decades in oklahoma and missouri said if they have a black stripe running down the center of theyre back they are mixed with dog but he never mentioned black ones. Well real shame about that kitten and as I use the word cute on a very limited basis it was in fact, that and now just a headless body in a trash bag. Dog or coyote culprit no doubt and leaning towards coyote as no dog hangs around here other than our own. If I hunt them it will be not for fur money but because I dont like them and I dont and do know of a couple little overhang areas that may be where they may be. But you all try and be careful about dogs because I know how I would feel if I made a mistake coyotes are only good dead IMO now may even risk a little front dend damage to my hoopty if opprotunity arises

From my years of trapping coyotes in Nebraska I learned that cats are delicacy on the
coyote menu. And for this reason I find it hard to understand why the kitten’s body was
left, any normal coyote would not leave such a tasty tidbit behind.

When I was a kid I had a couple of dwarf rabbits. Came home one night to find something had opened the pen and took the heads off the rabbits but left the bodies. We figured the only thing that could get the pen door open was a coon. I've seen otters do the same thing to fish but we didn't have otters around then.

Well yes I found it odd why a coyote wouldnt have eaten it if that was the culprit but could have been something else, even a coon or even another cat. If there were no coyotes I couldnt blame them
