thats cool pls, how are ya by the way ? years ago when i used to bow hunt coyotes, i used to call them in with a preditor call similar to a duck call ,,i guess it was supposed to be a distressed rabbit, any way it worked very well, i saw a herd of deer respond to it like they were coming to help lol, bob cats even owls , but the oddest was a wiley mangy obviously very old coyote that i only glimpsed for a second as he came in ,but he winded me and was gone. but i saw him plain as day for a second and he was black, the darkest coyote i ever laid eyes on and to this day have never seen one that black or ugly, this guy looked like a dog looks that needs that undercoat brushed out real bad, some of the ends were starting to fade to a blondish color, everyone says theres no black coyotes, now i have proof thanks for the post pls

That rear view sure looks like a shepherd, with the broadside looking wolfish.

A wolf and coyote run with their tails pointed straight out or slightly downward,,never up and flashing like a dog will do.quick and easy way to tell from a distance. I used to trap alot and hunt them with running walkers.

I've been told that's a color phase some get. There's a stuffed one in our local community college and that's what the biology prof. said.

Nice pic. The yotes are thriving around here I hear them howling almost every night. There's a pack of them behind me on the ridge. A neighbor killed one this month that weighed close to 70lbs.
