They have really small/skinny Florida Panthers, and then a mixed bag of big cats that drug dealers from the Miami Vice era kept as pets that people released. Supposedly they darted a balck jaguar on the Homestead Airforce Base a couple of years back, and ocelots get hit on the highway occasionally.

That said neither cougars or other big cats are common.

thanks for the response . i would of thought florida would of been one of there last great hold out places, so much swamp that is inaccessable, damn shame i would of liked to think they would run off all the non-natives, whats the non-native animal trade like these days in florida?

That fox is looking at something. I put a cam out one year to help track what was eatting my chickens. Once I got the pattern down that poor coon had no chance of making it back to it's side of the creek.

Wonderful pictures longtime, so few really free places for critters today. The battle on wolves makes me sick. Killed out in Texas and we are over run with hogs. The balance is so out of wack. Seems like wildlife, land, water, mountain tops, all environmental issues are political footballs.
Thank you for taking the time to post from everyone that views!
