Oregon Coast Blacktail season

It finally ended last night..actually It ended for me at about 3 am this morning after packing my Son's first buck out ...literally all through the night. An Ironic repeat of only two nights earlier when I helped my Sister and Brother in Law with Hers...Lots of Miles on my still shaky legs in a short time.
It concludes 10 days of obsession for me..sore, tired and DONE. The Oregon Rain Forest is about as hard as it gets..One only need to recall Lewis & Clarks utter frustration with this place as a point of reference.
My Brother In law is beyond Obsessed..And it's almost a Non event with him..I'm only surprised if he Doesn't kill a Trophy every year. His wife.. My sister.. ended up with the Buck that will make the books this year..( we're not much on Trophies but it's a thrill when it happens) and my Boy Rogue was thrilled with his first Buck..

Turns out I'm A better "Sherpa" than a "Crack Shot"..Lots of Character Building I blew my chance in the fog a few days ago..Such is the Nature of Hunting.

Now more Fit and Ready for Artifacts..They are MUCH more FUN to hunt..

I got the call the other day because I am close and I have a truck. I didn't even get a tag this year but got to see some nice bucks as I help track them down for some people who lost them.
