new favorite buck

calling this guy big tick, he has a monster stuck under his bottom lip, our deer are full of deer ticks especially the older ones , we do a check every time we get home , dont want one of those buggers diggin in to deep before we find him , got a lot of the lime disease down this way, not a disease you ever want to catch so were careful, ran into what i thought was a lion kill when i first came up on it , as i got closer my opinion changed, no apparent struggle, he was young a 3x3 125 lbs i rolled him over not a mark , didnt look like he had been fighting, then i saw the hole right in between his legs at the base of his neck, first thought was arrow, because of the shape of the hole, then i think fight and gored , i probed the hole with a twig, nope bullet hole, freekin shot was low and he got away, to far for the hunter to find him i guess, dead two or three days, startin to stink, any way heres my new favorite buck, hes the local stud so far in this area, he has all the girls and is always tryin to get more, the youngsters are hangin around tryin to sneak in for a quicky , no body challanging this guy today that i saw,

Nice Muley and great rack. Two brow tines on his left antler makes him a 5 X 6.

It is probably the angle but his left ear looks bigger. maybe more ticks he is really a beautiful buck. Hope he doesn't get shot. His genes are more important than a head mount on someones wall. You take wonderful photos!

quite the rush jason, hormones have both sexes messed up lol, i wear camo and if i creep and dont move fast they dont know how to act, the bucks WILL NOT leave the females, if she stays put he stays , this one looks to be posing but he is actually staying between me and his females, he swells up, hunches his back, and looks at you with one eye, i thought he was going to come after me a couple times, very cool to get so close you can see the ticks on them lol
