san diego bucks 11/30/11

the first couple pics of a nice buck , dominant in his area, a couple tag alongs trying to sneek in on his girls , getting there arses handed to them for their efforts lol , they have balls but not the strength to fight the big boys, in the 6th pic is a forky with a wicked brow tine, one pic is of a deer with a wounded eye, didnt seem to bother him to much, last pic is a buck with a bob cat passing in the back ground, makes me think twice about what i am doing , i never saw the cat till i looked at the pics later on at home

I wonder if the buck in the last picture noticed the bob cat?

Your bob cats are huge out there. It is further away from you than the deer and should look smaller because of the distance and perspective, but it still looks massive. In Florida ours are a 6 or so inches taller than a house cat and beefier, but still small.

josh , its been almost six years since the big fires here that devastated the forrest, and the animal populations , they have sprung back way past what was here befor, lots more of all animals , all seem to be much bigger, i imagine in time mother nature will step in and start to cull the populations of each untill its once again like it was since i was a kid, ourbob cats are huge and like any animal of the same species or breed each one is slightly diffrent, i saw a bob cat near my house that was almost black, well maybe not black but almost no visable spots and dark, heres a pic of one that i took a few days ago, new , havent ever seen it before
