Wolves

There's a pack of 8 wolves east of me in north west Illinois. In the last four years two have been shot mistaken as yotes. One east a half hour one south a half hour, both rogue males. It is interesting how their range is expanding... although this isn't advertised as news. I've seen pics of the dead wolves. I have not seen or heard the pack firsthand. Pretty cool!

That would be a sight to see! Keep us posted on sightings.

Interesting,,,My Mom had a couple small horses at a stable in Southern rural Missouri a few years back and "supposedly" they were attacked and killed by a pack of wolves. It all seems sketchy to me though...

wolves will fill a void where there is one , you let two wolves go with food and youll have a bunch of starving wolves within a couple years, hard to find a place where you can have wolves and humans near each other with out there being conflict eventually, wolves are bad assed predators, nothing compared to homo sapiens though

Look quick, cause it is an all out war on them in the northwest. All the work to bring them back..........no way when it becomes another politically sick football.I want to arm the wolves ya know like Dundee

Hey Nerilich... I've heard stories like that more in regards to mountain lions, you just don't know what really happened. It seemed like the wolves in our part of the world haven't caused the headlines of Idaho etc. Wisconsin has around 80 wolf packs. I don't ever hear about them from anyone really. Unfortunately sensationalism is the heart of our media and can wrap up supporters and opposers all the same. Honestly if I was a rancher and a wolf was actually killing stock I would take care of the wolf and leave it at that.
