where do you live?

i live in san diego ca. heres acouple pics of what san diego really looks like . no stadiums or high rises in these pics, just nice beaches, sweet lakes, foot hills ,alpine forrest,and high desert, ( sea level to 6000 ft with in 60 miles, )
#1 pacific ocean
#2 Padre Dam , built by natives for friars , early 1700s aprox. 500ft above sea level
#3 standing on tailing's from gold mine
#4 foot hills, El Capitan mt. in background, aprox. 2000ft. high
#5 alpine meadow
#6 same mts. in background as pic 5 different time of the year, aprox 4500 ft. above sea level

You r really good with the photography now I live in Jefferson County Missouri (Eastern MO.) and this is where my artifact hunting obsession started in the late 90s. Been an interesting place feels like home though and hope to stay for a while longer.

@ longtimefree, What a beautiful, varied landscape you live in! I haven't been to San Diego in a very long time, though I do some dog training out east towards Blythe.
You're truly blessed to live in such a place.

From my area in SW AR....

1. 7 colors in a local field this past spring.
2. A view looking up the road in our town last winter.
3. A look up one of the small mountains.
4. A different mountain view.
