hunting alaska by water

i ran across these photos at a website for mokai owners-these two guys live in alaska.

one guy in this canoe with a 3 hp outboard and a large game cart:

the other one is in a new mokai.
they get 2 miles up the lake and wait for some large caribou to pass by.
the goal is to shoot a large bull right at the waters edge, so as not to have to carry them.

they shot their limit-2 each. they even managed to shoot em so they FELL into the water right at the waters edge.

pretty large animals-the mokai is 12 feet long.

now they have to get them back to the truck-why not use the old mokai tow the caribou trick? --he is towing TWO at once--

seemed to work pretty good. the other guy had to make 2 trips.

and then the guy hunts muskrats and sells them-

I like the wind shield on the Mokai. The water is mighty cold this time of year on the face. If it were me, I would just tie a rope to the back of the Mokai and to a canoe or small jon boat to pull the game back. They pull real good behind the Mokai.

Someday I would love to hunt Alaska. I get the impression it's pretty pricey to do so though.
