Thanks selturner !! The season on Mule Deer is Nov 21 to Nov 29 , 1 buck only and Javelina is Oct 1 to Feb 28 , 2 per person. This is in Andrews Co. I'll check it again in 3 weeks, maybe they'll be out of velvet and we'll get a better look at those antlers !!

Yes finderskeepers , It is 5 sec of private land , and it is located in far west Texas, on the New Mexico - Texas, state line. This land has been in the family for years,it is out in the middle of nowhere, miles from any towns or houses. I don't hunt that much anymore " more into arrowheads now " so i just let friends hunt it from time to time. Thanks for your post. Bill

No DesertWalker I don't think so , I have never had one but everyone i've talked to said that they are not good to eat. They are a pain to have around !! In the past year that group of javelina has had 3 litters, there is just more and more of them, and they keep trying to root up my water troff. I can believe that there is a season on them, another few months and we'll put the hurt to them. LOL !

Do like we do with feral hogs, just shoot 'em and let the buzzards and their buddies eat 'em. Man, I sure would love to tag that wide big boy in the pics.
