First one out of velvet !

I have never see this deer before, but he's the first out of velvet.

What a deer!Everybody at work is excited because Arkansas bow season is opening in a few days.I sure wanted one more trip to the creek.Guess I'll just have to dig bottles instead.May even take a road trip and try a pay dig.

Looks as if those guys are a bit top heavy!

Got a question for you hunters... Who classifies deer by the spread and amount of points...is it Boone and Crockett?

Yes Pat ,i think the Boone and Crockett club measuring system is the most common. I think its cool that the mule deer that we have here in west texas are right up there with any found in the U.S, points and size wize. Some of these deer are 280 to 300 lbs. Thanks for your post Pat!! Bill
