Chukar Anybody?

I used to hunt Chukars around Susanville. Gave me an excuse to hunt points while searching out birds. Find springs, find points, shoot Chukars and quail.

What's REALLY fun is hunting White Tailed Ptarmigan on top of the Sierras. Whooee, those things fly peak to peak worse that Red Legs. The terrain is so high and rocky that you're always out of breath. Last time it was Ptarmigan 12, hunters 0. When we go up there, it's Blue Grouse in the morning and Ptarmigan in the afternoon.
