Ice Fishing

Just seeing if there is any other ice fishers here? I was at a derby this Sunday with my son. This was the biggest until 10 min before the derby ended. It was a 14 7/8" brown trout. A guy right at the end brought up a 15". The pool was $250. My son was bummed. He actually pulled this out on his own jig. I looked over and he was sitting there fighting with the line trying to get it out of the water. By the time I got to him the fish was flopping on the ice. He didn't even call for my help. My biggest was 12" lol. He also had a 14 1/4" rainbow.

The only ice fishing we do in Louisiana is snagging orange slices in a vodka cocktail.

I Ice fished alot until about 10 years ago. We haven't had really good safe ice for a long time. ( I'm lazy - I like to drive my car onto the ice so I need good ice )
