Clothing.........Function not Fashion.

Where I live we have 4 seasons. Almost Summer, Summer, Still Summer, and Christmas.
It is also the tick capital of the world, so it's long sleeves out in the bush.
When I'm out in the wild I wear camo clothing, Marine Corps MARPAT Woodland. To look cool or stealthy? No, the squirrels don't care. It's all about comfort and function for me. When it's really hot, I'll fill up my boonie hat in a brook and dump it on my head. As the water evaporates, it's like wearing a mini air conditioner. When you get caught in the rain, as we all do, this clothing dries in minutes. I advise avoiding polyester when possible as it does not breath.
Again, depending on weather, and how long I expect to be out, I will wear a vest. It's loaded with pockets to carry a compass, GPSr, snacks, water, camera, repellent, etc. During peak snake season I wear chaps and carry my S&W 41 .22 LR with 2 mags, 1 with snake shot and the other with hollow points.
Careful shopping on the Internet will yield good, quality gear and don't overlook military surplus.
Happy hunting. Be comfortable and be safe.Name: boonie cover.jpg

In my area I don't need the chaps due to the lack of a lot of poisonous snakes.....occasionally I have seen copperheads but not often....no .22 for me though....mines a .45

I hear 'ya. The 1911 is my favorite although I now carry the Springfield Armory XDM in .40 cal for personal protection. It's my first "tupperware" gun.

That woodland marpat looks pretty good. S&W 41 is a quality .22, I got the S&W 22a with a 5 " barrel, usually don't bring it hunting artifacts unless it's squirrel season. I like the crye multicam pattern myself, and internal kneepad pouches are key for getting down for a closer look. Garmont t6 tac elite boots are the best imo, lightweight, durable, and you can't wear out the sole. For colder weather I got the tad gear stealth ranger hoodie, super comfortable fleece hybrid with hood and lots of pockets. Like you said, function and comfort...not fashion.

Thanks Ghost,
Knee pads. Never thought about that.

Bought my wife a 22A 7" for Christmas. Dang! That 'ol gal can shoot up a pile of ammo!

Bought my Model 41 back in the '80's sometime. They're pretty proud of them today. They list for $1200. That's plumb nuts! Now your up in Kimber prices and you got a quality .45

I switched out the 5" for the 7", shoots like a short rifle now, really accurate. Since we're talking s&w's and Springfield plastic here's a picture of my 22a and xd .45, and some other miscellaneous gear.

knee pads...great idea!...why haven't I thought of that before this?
Since we're on the topic of firearms....my .22 is a Buckmark, what a tack driver that thing is!....and my .45 is a Sig P220...awesome firearm!.....I have not gone the tupperware route

California Styling...

Always dress in layers, keep yourself hydrated, a digging/probing tool is vital as well as a good field guide. A good staff (walking stick--not employees!) can be wielded as a weapon (think Little Johnny) and the bolo can always double as a tournaquet in case of a snake bite. And sensible shoes! Tip: always keep an extra pair of socks in your back pocket. Tip: using a biker's bandana as a handkerchief adds a hidden flare of danger...don't mess with me!

LMAO!
I can see you are quite the dapper gentleman Arrowheadologist from Kah-lee-faw-nee-uh. (as Arnold would say it)
You need to send that staff to me straight away for typo, aging, value, etc.
These investigations take time so don't look to get it back real soon. That's a beauty.
The "lingerie?" Hard to say from the picture. G-8 from the Cro-Magnon Collection is my best estimate.
Now that jug o' squeezin's there has me baffled. Might have to come out yonder for a sample, in the name of science, of course.
