Got Me Mojo

Spring fever set and I picked up a new toy to keep me busy. Here's my Ibis Mojo SL on her maiden voyage yesterday. (Thanks Mootsman for your help!)

You know what they say, "If you have to ask...."
Those aren't cheap.
Back when I lived in Tonopah in the 80s I bought a MT bike before they got popular. It was called a Bristol Apache Summit. Cost me $500 back then and it was built like a tank. Bike technology has come a long way since then.

Looks like a heck of a ride. This is one of my current projects( How to build a Bamboo Bicycle or bike )I've got the carbon fiber in, and an old mountain bike to cannibalize, just have to find a source of HIGH quality bamboo now.

Now that's the way to travel Ray! Great condition.

Mojave, you're right about bike technology. I had a Novara from REI before this one and it was the first bike I'd had in many years and was blown away with what it would do.

egra099, My Dad had told me about the bamboo bikes but I'd never seen one or that link. Keep us posted on your progress. That's pretty cool.

DesertWalker - Yeah, I've been planning for a new bike since last summer. Made a few sacrifices along the way which means I'll be hunting closer to home for awhile. :0
