It's On!

Finaly snuck out of the office and got some lines out. I've already got 3 gallon bags of fillets. This morning I had a big op that had swallowed a small channel cat. I wouldn't have got it in the boat without a dip net.

What does the op weigh? I'm assuming you caught them on trot lines? It would be been fun to reel in that big opelousas!

Save the dorsal spike and post pics of it here. There have been a few threads on them.
It would be interesting to compare.

I don't ever weight them. That way I can make up whatever I want. I figured he was 10+ pounds. I am fishing with trotlines in the back water right now since the river is way up. I make my own home made bait. I caught a channel cat on the home made bait and the op swallowed him.

I never caught an OP, but I've caught a COP, I was drinking and he pulled me over. Acutally, he was pretty easy to catch!

Kidding, but I really don't know what an OP is. Must be big?

Ahh, thanks. I know what a flathead is. They get monsterously big and are considered pretty good eating around here, even when extra large, unlike some other species.
