Hunted for money yesterday....

I went on a scouting expedition on this huge tract of land I've recently gotten permission to dig on, bordered on the backside (which is where these photos are from(the back side) by The Raccoon. I found an endless supply of (at their peak ramps) which I'll have to save for next year. And I mean an endless supply. The other greenery in the photos is blue cohosh, in which there is also an endless supply of. Not worth much usually at market but there is so much here in big patches that its possible to make some cash. The surrounding woods is still dry and brown with just hints of things coming out of the ground, but this set of woods looks as if its the beginning of june. Mayapple, bloodroot, and cranesbill were doing well here too. Didn't see any goldenseal here, but in my seal patches at home some are not through the leaves yet. Looks like I'll be putting some time in this place for the cohosh, and mayapple. The whole acreage has an enormous amount of wild yams here which is why I got permission to hunt there, everything else is christmas bonus. Didn't find any morels yesterday but I was on the lookout.
