California Wild Pigs

I haven't been able to get out hunting in a while but thought I would share these pics. I was able to sneak up extremely close and get these pictures of some sows and their piglets this last spring. The babies were really cute but that changes pretty fast. These pigs were let go and only pictures were taken.

I have heard Texas has a real Problem with them. I was talking to guy from Texas not long ago and he said there were two kinds of counties in Texas. Those with a pig problem and those that are going to have a pig problem. Their numbers are skyrocketing here as well

I have heard that it will be a nation wide problem before too long.
It probably will come down to a situation like I saw in Alaska,,With Manditory Wolf Kills.

Not so much here, but will become more so. The animal cruelty activists have somehow gotten all the horse roundups stopped for almost a year now.

I have a freezer full of Swiss, Sweet Italian, and Apple cinnamon wild pig sausage. In fact I am getting ready to put some on the BBQ this afternoon.

Erb, do you hunt them with bows or guns? Is there a special permit or season to hunt them?
