An artifacts collector and dealer busted in a federal sting operation against traffickers of illegal Four Corners antiquities pleaded guilty Wednesday in Salt Lake City’s federal court."


"Government agents removed five truckloads of artifacts from the Criteses’ home, and the plea agreement would make that forfeiture official. Walter Bugden, Vern Crites’ attorney, said that represents essentially their collection."

If you don't like a law then campaign to get it changed or recalled. If you break the law be prepared to suffer the consequences. If you knowingly disturb human remains I can hope for some element of Karma to settle the issue.

I understand the charge of digging on government property and disturbing human remains, but why the charge for buying the sandals?

I'd guess it was a "sting" where the undercover agent told him that the sandals were recovered on Federal land...but I have no info other than what was in the article. If correct, then he was receiving stolen goods or assumed that he was.

Dude sold old human parts what a freak. imo he got what was coming his way, if you do that in co or utah your gonna get popped
