Thanks for taking the time to put this together and sharing it with us. I like the historical perspectives and the Legendary Collector series.

I'm from MT but this has been a fantastic read, thank you for posting up. One thing I noticed is that all of the links to the various research papers on pages 24 and 25 do not work. Would love to read some of those if you release an updated version. Thanks again for sharin'!

Carving on page 23
Wow thanks for a very nice post. Love the info given. I had to let you know that the carved bone face on page 23 I found years ago and sold it off on ebay several years ago when we downsized the collection. I found that carving and always kind oif figured it was the end of a needle that was broken off. Thanks again for a great read.

Hey - thanks guys for the positive feedback. It is a fun project.
Ron - I believe M. Berreth had that bone piece at one time. It has likely changed has since then. It is a nice piece. |

Well done, Dave. The articles were fine reads and the Stockton Curves hit home for me. I am familiar with the mounds those came from, but the burials have been pillaged long ago. Unfortunately, they are basically off limits except for one that I can work. No Stockton Curves for me, though, just plenty regular Stockton serrated points. Most have suffered from years of agricultural use, leaving whatever remains on or near the surface damaged to the point of being worthless. Whenever I walk the mounds I carry a bucket for broken stuff and toss it in the slough so it can't be seen again.
