I thought Geronimo was the codename for the operation. Not for Bin Laden. Going to Fox News for news is like going to your local butcher to ask about vegetarianism.

Were the Storm Troopers offended when the US launched Operation Overlord in 1944?

I can see where it would rile some feathers(no pun intended) but why does every single thing anyone ever does lead to someone, somewhere being offended.

think that the US government portrayed exactly who they are by using the word "GERONIMO" the believe the word means "SAVAGE" which shows exactly what the US government is "SAVAGES" I believe that the Native Americans Deserve an apology for the "MISUSE of thier Native Language" Geronimo was not a savage! Uhhh, yes he was. And so were the people after him. Not all Native Americans were savages. Even some of the southern plains Indians weren't savages. But some of them were.

How you can soap box all of that into the current US Government being savages..... you're lost.

I think it was insensitive to pick that name, and then worse to publish it... They would have never picked "Allah", Malcolm X, Billy Graham, Pancho Villa, etc. Greek, Roman and Viking mythology always make for good mission names.
