Custer Battlefield Museum case update

I was perusing the ATADA website the other day and found a few articles in their spring 2011 newsletter I thought members might find of interest. Also, there is access to many past issues on their website as well as other information of value to collectors.

This particular issue I linked to has at least 3 subjects which you may be interested in.

First is an update, on pg. 8, by Chris Kortlander, Founding Director of the Custer Battlefield Museum, regarding his ongoing legal battle with federal agencies after the museum was raided twice by federal agents.

On pg. 16 there is a summary of the ATADA Board Meeting, which has items of interest including the idea of aligning with "arrowhead people".

Last, is a transcript of a presentation on Cultural Property and Art Crime with questions and answers by FBI Agent David Kice. Members may not find interest until pg. 25, bottom right, where a Mr. Elmore begins a relentless line of questioning. The preceding paragraphs are mostly about art crimes.

That was an enlightening read, but I did notice that a local "scalawag" advertises in that magazine.
