That's pretty awesome, theories about early European expedition into America always intrigue me. Here are a few similar things from by me:

DIGHTON ROCK, MASSACHUSETTS

The Westford Knight, the Newport Tower, and Related Sites

We live about a 50 minute drive from the Heavener Runestone Park, and have been there many times. Awesome place to visit.

A good friend of mine worked for Gloria Farley who helped make it a park, he's told me some wild stories about things he saw when he worked for her.

Her book is awesome, called "In Plain Sight."

I can't for the life of me find more information on it, but there was a runestone found here in KY called the Kewanee Stone (I think). I'll have to get the book out where I read about it and take a look.

Edit: actually, two runestones have been found here. The Brandenburg stone, and the Ogam rock shelter.

Hey Zach, the Narragansett Bay runestone, shown at your second link, was a discovery I was involved in, in 1985, seems a lifetime ago now. In fact, I published the first report and photos of that runestone. At the bottom of this page is a brief description of it's discovery and a couple of additional photos:

Photo Tour

The Narragansett Runestone has been featured on a few TV docs over the years. It is only visible at low tide. I have found my share of points, etc. over the years but finding this runestone was a real highlight. I waited months before following up the lead on it because we were so used to leads on inscription rocks not panning out. When we walked up on this inscription at a moon low tide, I flipped out!!

That's awesome! I had no idea. I've been to a few of the locations in that link, but have never had a chance to see the runestone.

If you're in RI next warm season, I'll get ya there if you want to see it. There's a good shot in context here, next to last photo on the page:
