It would be pretty embarrassing to get killed by a goat!

Sad story. Goats and sheep are two animals you don't want to turn your back on or be around without an escape. I got thumped once and that was enough.

It looks like it took twice for this fella.

This is a "bifacial" post...

It is very sad to hear about the loss of a life. It is not a laughing matter. It is a grim reminder to me of the power of the natural world and all its creatures. Perhaps that's why early man survived. They respected the power of it instead of trying to rule it.

On the other side...

*Right about now, "grabbing the bull by the horns" seems more like a survival skill than a motivational phrase. ie. Grab the horns as your first target because it is harder to concentrate/plan when they are buried in your flesh.

Perhaps the Holy Grenade of Antioch could have helped... (Any Monty Python fans?)

YouTube - killer bunny and the holy grenade of antioch

The ironic bit is that my wife wants a goat...

Really sad about the man being gored, but these are WILD animals and it must have felt threatened in some way and was probably just protecting it's territory.

Mud Hawk, I'm a huge Monty Python fan and I own the Holy Grail, Life Of Brian, and The Meaning Of Life. I also have probably watched every episode of The Flying Circus.

Yes, Most attacks from Wild Animals are the result of the Human coming up on the Animal soo quickly that the animal had no escape route and attacking was it's only defense.. We humans have lost a great deal of Our inner workings with nature ever since we started living in Towns and Cities, actually the Inner workings have gone dormant, buried deep inside from our artificial Environment we've created.
As stated Early man knew this and respected it and thus were very able to survive in a Hostile environment...

I always have to get my Mindset up and running when venturing out in the Wilderness, knowing that i am now part of the Food chain....

Steve & Mudhawk, I LOVE Monty Python!!! I own the complete Box DVD set of the Flying Circus.. 17 DVDs of Pure Monty Python Insanity!!!!!!!

That's terrible.
Although the most dangerous animal you'll find outdoors typically walks on two legs.
