Thanks Trask. It is dated 1996 but has the comment "Interestingly, there are no accepted paleoindian sites within the Great Basin region."

Wha????

C. Vance Haynes published Clovis sites at Lake Tonopah in the mid-1960s. There are (were) many others.

Glad you caught that...It sort of stood me on my ear...UHHH how about 5 mile/Paisley Cave, Lovelock, Dirty Shame, Catlow and many more?...Ft. Rock Dated well into Paleo during Dr. L. Cressman's time many years ago if I'm not mistaken even just based on relative~geological stratigraphic sampling..And how many collections from Warner valley to the Black Rock contain many paleo types..Not withstanding, as you said..many Clovis sites from E. Washington south...Sort of a sweeping generalization by the author.
Interesting none the less.

Lake Mohave, China Lake,etc... the Author dropped the ball on that statement.. But it is an interesting Article anyway...
