While not as spectacular in appearance as the Florida discovery last year it certainly is interesting. If you missed the Vero Beach story here's an article. It's been examined by the Smithsonian and National Geo but this is the latest article from the primary researcher. (large .pdf file)

Took me a minute, but now I see it ( it's the pink one w/ the head, trunk and tusks facing to left correct?).

What's the blue one?

Thanks for sharing Bud, It's still mind boggling to think of man hunting these massive animals.

Took me a minute to see it too. I have no idea what the blue thing is. It looks like its eating the mammoth or something, but whats bigger than a mammoth?

Who knows what they were thinking though. The pink looks like a mammoth/shrimp, and the blue thing looks like a lion/rhinoceros beetle.

That second picture is super cool though!

It was the ears that got me.

The link says it's probably a bison.

There's a mammoth petroglyph in the Black Rock Desert near high rock canyon. Seems like it's being kept secret.

I didn't read the entire article, Buckeye. My ADD got in the way, so thanks for clearing that up! I think I see the bison...if I tilt my head and squint my eyes a bit. I wonder why they're keeping that other petroglyph secret?
