I metal detect while looking for arrowheads. One of my sons found this while out beeping. Over 8 1/2 ozs.

Wowzers. I used to bring back and sell much smaller gold nuggets from South America and collectors used to pay up to twice the spot price for nicer specimens.

That spread may have come down with the increase in the gold price, but unless it is full of quartz or rock, it should be worth more than 12K.
