Art

I am motivated to start this thread by 3 members of this forum...

Joyce, Buckeye, and Ghost Recon
They are some outstanding artists!!!

I love art and sculptures and I would love to see any artwork/sculptures or any other kinds of artistic abilities that any of the members here are willing to share...Hopefully including the three mentioned above as well...

Here is a self portrait I painted using oil paints.. Influenced by Van Gogh,,,
I painted this on Valentines day night in 1996 shortly after a break-up with my first true love. Think I was pi$$ed off at this world this day and captured
how I felt after finding out she was with somebody I considered a freind at the time....

Even thought about cuttin my ear off and mailing it to her LOL

Thanks for sharing some of your artwork Jason. I like those two abstract pieces and think the self portrait is well done.

Thanks guys!!
GBM,, I always enjoyed art and in high school, it seemed I could
never do it the right way... and to me, their is no right or wrong way to do it... at least with freelance/abstract, etc...
(although my self portrait shows me with a huge ear and a mile long forehead,, way off!!)
Needed an emotional outlet at the time (the arrowhead fever laid dormant at this specific period of my life)

Still have both ears

Josh, my Dad had way more patients and skill than I...WAY more!!!

Anybody have any art to add?? I'm startin to feel like a Lone Ranger here

Ok neralich don't want you to feel like the Lone Ranger so I will post a couple that I already had on my home page, they are just some of the photos I can find of the many I have done that I took a photos of.
Thanks for your compliment but I consider your artwork much more artist than mine. I agree with you when it comes to art there really is no right way or wrong way...its about expressing yourself or the way you see things in your own mind! Your self portrait is a very good example...you captured the mood, anyone can look at that picture and see a man that is going through some deep troubles! I like your fathers work also, you inherited his talent and developed your own style!

The first one I did for Ducks Unlimited several years ago. Wood ducks

This one was not finished when I took the picture, dont know why I did not take one after it was done but in the finished picture there is a fence row with Dogwood trees in bloom. I called it....

One I did for my Father. He requested it because he had always loved the original "Visions Of Yesterday" a famous painting but I cant remember the artist right now. He loved the way the clouds showed Indians riding horses chasing Buffalo.

Thats it! Thanks Neralich Joyce
