Team Hartman Vacation

We spent the last 8 days in Florida, and being true hunters, did a lot of seashell collecting. It was a great time. We got a lot of good shells, saw dolphins, walked the pier, etc. I also caught 9 blue crab and cooked them up (caught 14 but 5 died before cooking them.) They were delicious! Anyways, here's what we found.

Great looking shells Don and quite a few of them. I have a buddy that has a spot somewhere on the gulf coast side where he finds Points along the beach and they are always very highly polished.

Thanks guys. You'll have to let me know where he looks Steve. We checked for arrowheads but never saw any. Yes Scotto, we go to Navarre, which is about 20 miles west of Destin.

Where is the pics of the crab dinner. I'm getting hungry.

When I was a kid I learned the hard way to not bring home shells that still had stuff in em or sea stars that washed up on the beach. Smelled like dad had a dead person in the trunk.

Yep, there are a few pieces of coral. I decided to bring some home this year. I have a picture of the crabs, but while they were still alive. I was too hungry after cooking them to take pictures! I had one shell with a hermit crab in it that died on the way home, but it was too small to smell up the car.

Hey,
Some nice shells there. My family and I love going to Sanibel every year and we always find many nice shells. Not sure if you know, but you have a rare shell in there. The first picture upper left group with the whelks you have a Cabrix Murex the spiny shell. It is a good one. I found my first one this year that is huge.
