First collection

I started collecting seashells at a young age, here are some of my highlights from over the years. I don't purchase shells, all of these I found and collected myself.

Looks like you done a little traveling to the Islands mon...
I used to find lots of them when living and going to catholic school in Jamaica in the early 1970's. On weekends me and my brothers would go scuba diving /snorkeling and bring home 50 at one time. I left the whole collection in Kingston when we moved back to the states. The top photo seemed to be the rarest of the conch types we would find.

Nice collection of shells, Scott!!
Some of those exhibit some high polish. Is that caused naturally from sand action or did you do something to enhance the beauty??

All of the polish is natural, caused by the mantle of the animal rubbing against the shell. Most of the polish is lost over time or beach erosion.

Thanks for the comments!
