Old Turquoise & Silver Bracelet
I got this nice old bracelet (along with some artifacts) from a family friend, and I was hoping someone here may be able to tell me a little about it. Here is what I do know: It is silver, not sure if its nickel or sterling as there are no marks. The silver is heavily tarnished and looks like at one time someone used some green silver polish and didnt get it out of the tight areas. The bracelet is handmade and not cast, the turquoise is real. Not sure of its origin just that it had belonged to my friends grandmother and where she got it no one knows. If anyone has any ideas on an approx. age or where it may have been made please feel free to post your thoughts. Thanks

I'm not sure what you have... I'm no expert, but the stones are 'cabochons', rather than typical freeform stones, and the decorative workmanship doesn't look as precise and clean as typical Navajo silversmithing... especially for 'old pawn'... I'd recommend contacting a reputable dealer in Navajo jewelry, maybe in Gallup or Santa Fe, and send them the pics... They can tell you everything you want to know

bar2kl, after looking at it again, I think you are right. Old pawn is more "artistic" looking.
