Cool Personally found marbles

These are the marbles I have accumulated over the years while digging for old bottles they all date from the late 1800's up to WWII.
Some have value some not so much.
Well over a 1,000 in this box.

Some of those might be mine. I lost my marbles in 1989.

I find a marble here and there but have never really thought about keeping them.

A lot of them wound up in the dumps because the younguns just outgrew the desire to play with them and mom just threw them out.
Considering they are from a site that dates to WWII I would venture to say "Soldiers" don't need toys when a weapon is in their hands.
We find a lot of marbles and such there along with plenty of ceramic dolls. Most of the dolls have "Japan" embossed on to them. If it had Japan on it, it went to the dump.
Pick "em" up or I'm gonna throw them out! More like (Clean up your room or I will)!!!!!

That is a very cool collection. I've found lots while digging and occasionally in fields where there used to be an old house, but I've never saved any. One or two every once in a while add up pretty quickly.

I'd bet some of them ended up being swollowed by little kids and recycled. I wouldn't be surprised if some fell out of the pocket if they were squatting while doing their business. And never forget about annoying little brothers who could have tossed a siblings toys in the crapper when mad.

I don't have nearly as many as you, but I have found some on old house places while looking for points. What type of marble would have any value, I never thought they would be worth anything I just pick them up and put them in a bag.
